Microsoft’s business software ecosystem: Invitation to comment
Overview
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has launched a strategic market status (SMS) investigation into Microsoft’s business software ecosystem.
The investigation will look at whether Microsoft holds SMS in business software. We will examine Microsoft’s provision of a range of business software products used by UK organisations, including productivity software, personal computer and server operating systems, database management systems and security software.
We will consider whether practices such as bundling products, limiting interoperability, or using default settings make it harder for customers to switch providers and reduce competition from rivals.
We want to hear from organisations in the UK and internationally, including challenger tech companies, customers and competitors.
The invitation to comment document has 6 questions. When uploading your response document using the form below, make it clear which question number you are responding to. Answer any questions that apply to you.
