Transparency and disclosure: updating our general guidance
Overview
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is proposing to update its general guidance on transparency and disclosure by both:
- withdrawing its guidance on disclosure of information in CMA work (CC7)
- updating Transparency and disclosure: statement of the CMA’s policy and approach (CMA6)
The updates to CMA6 are intended to both:
- consolidate and streamline our general guidance on transparency and disclosure in a single document, following the withdrawal of CC7
- ensure accuracy, improve readability and reflect current CMA practice, including our 4Ps approach (pace, predictability, proportionality and process)
We are seeking views of interested parties on the proposal to withdraw CC7 and our updates to CMA6.
You can find more information about the specific updates we are proposing in the consultation document.
