Date and time

Tuesday 22 April, 3.30pm to 5.30pm

Location

techUK, 10 St Bride Street, London, EC4A 4AD

About this event

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) investigates the impact of mergers on competition in the UK. Join Joel Bamford (Executive Director, Mergers) and others from the CMA for an informative session on how UK merger control works. As part of our commitment to engage more directly with businesses and investors, we would also like to hear your views or experiences of the UK mergers regime.

Attend if you are looking to better understand:

  • what sorts of deals the CMA investigates and why
  • what tech businesses can expect from a merger review process
  • how businesses can engage with the CMA
  • what steps the CMA is taking to drive growth, investment, and business confidence in the UK

There will also be an opportunity to network with, and feed back informally to senior CMA staff.

We're holding this event in partnership with techUK and Startup Coalition.

This event is for the business, start-up and investment communities, including internal advisers. It's not for external advisers, like law firms or economic consultancies.
